Ella Mae Van Zile

Ella Mae Van Zile, 89, of
Lake Delton, passed away on Saturday, Jan. 19. 2019 at the Sauk County Health
Care Center surrounded by her loving family. Ella Mae was born on May
9, 1929 in Summit, the daughter of Andrew and Frieda (Petrich) Radies. Her
mother passed away when Ella Mae was three years old and was raised by Andrew
and Iva (Capener) Radies in Baraboo. She attended Hylandale
Seventh-Day Adventist Academy in Rockland, WI. In 1953 she married G.E. Van
Zile in Arizona. From this marriage, they had two children, Steven G. Van Zile
and Sharon Kae Van Zile. Ella Mae worked for
Tri-State Breeders in Baraboo for 25 years before retiring. In her spare time
she enjoyed traveling with her high school academy friends. Ella Mae dearly
loved her family and will be missed by everyone who knew her. Survivors include her two
children, Steven (Faithe) Van Zile of Reedsburg and Sharon (David) Jensen of
Baraboo; seven grandchildren, Tanya, Jodi, Malissa, Travis and Troy Van Zile,
Jennifer and Ashley Jensen; 12 great-grandchildren; and other nieces, nephews
and friends. In addition to her
parents, Ella Mae was preceded in death by an infant brother, Walter; a sister,
Evelyn (Vernon) McNeilus; and a step-sister, Viola (Alex) Erlandson. Funeral services will be
held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Jan. 24, 2019 at Baldwin Funeral Services,
Baraboo, with Pastor Justin Spady officiating. Visitation will at the funeral
home from 10 a.m. until time of service. Interment will take place in the
German Methodist Cemetery in Caledonia Township. Baldwin Funeral Services, 520 East St., Baraboo, is assisting the family with arrangements.
