Wisconsin Dells - Veinis Fish, 90, of
Wisconsin Dells, passed away on Wednesday, Jan. 3, 2018 at St. Clare Meadows
Care Center in Baraboo.
Veinis was born in Richmond, Virginia
on May 6, 1927 the daughter of Frank and Sarah (Cox) Salyer. On March 22, 1954,
she was united in marriage to Eugene Henry Fish Sr. in Newport, Rhode Island.
He preceded her in death on Dec. 29, 1979.
Veinis was most recently employed at
Ho-Chunk Casino in Enviromental Services. In her spare time she enjoyed doing
needlework, quilting and going-out for dinner with family and friends. Veinis was
a member of the Newport Evangelical Lutheran Church in Newport Township, Columbia
County, and the American Legion Post 187 Ladies Auxiliary in Wisconsin Dells.
Survivors include her daughter, Cindy
Fish of Wisconsin Dells; son, Eugene Henry Fish Jr. of Redgranite; two
granddaughters, Shaleina (Jason) Stebbins of Rome and Renee (Graham) Smith of
Swiftcurrent Saskatchewan, Canada; grandson, Daniel (Tammy) Newkirk of Beloit; great-grandchildren,
Deidra Smith of Kelowna, British Columbia and Jethro and Libby Stebbins of
Rome; two sisters-in-law, and several nieces, nephews other relatives and many
friends.
In addition to her parents and
husband, Veinis was preceded in death by a son, Frankie; grandson, Casey;
great-grandson, Hayden; five brothers and four sisters.
A memorial service in remembrance of Veinis will take place
this summer. The Rago-Baldwin Funeral Home, 520 East St., Baraboo, is assisting
the family with arrangements.
