Grace Jean Uebersetzig

Grace Jean Uebersetzig, age 89, of
Baraboo, went to be with the Lord on Sept. 8, 2017.
She was born on July 13, 1928, in Prentice,
WI, to Edwin and Mabel Anna Vera (Dyke) Swanson.
Grace was united in marriage to the love of
her life, Harold “Harry” Uebersetzig, on Feb. 26, 1969.
He preceded her in death on Dec. 3,
1987.
She worked for the Wisconsin
Telephone Company for 33 years, retiring in 1980.
Grace is survived by her sister,
Myrle Sauey; her nephew, Dennis (Judy) Sauey and their family, Aaron Richardson
and Jana (Bryan) Woodhouse with their children, Ethan and Andrew; her niece,
Jeanne (Dennis) Drescher and their family, Elissa (Matthew) Dowis with their
children, Savannah, Sydney, Madison, Meghan, Nathan and Noah; Jennifer (Tyler)
Ellis with their children, Johanna, Teresa and Savannah; Stephanie Drescher;
Brandon (Aundrea Robinson) Drescher with their children, Jaiden and Bentley; and
her niece-in-law, Maryjude Hoeffel.
She
is also survived by several other relatives and friends.
In addition to her parents and
husband, she was preceded in death by her nephew, Wayne Sauey and an infant
sister, Verle.
Grace had a passion for
cross-stitching, creating many beautiful works of art over the years.
She had a love for all living things and
genuinely wanted to know how you were doing whenever you saw her. She liked to
play cards, make lefse and even enjoyed making 10-feet tall snowmen with her
family.
She will also be fondly
remembered for giving the best hugs.
We’ll miss you so much Grace.
A visitation will be held on
Wednesday, Sept. 13, 2017, at the Rago-Baldwin Funeral Home, 520 East St.,
Baraboo, from 10 a.m. until 12 noon. Interment will follow the visitation at
Forest Hill Cemetery, 1 Speedway Rd., Madison, WI.
The gentle touch of Grace’s life will forever be felt by her
loved ones.
