Esther Biech, 97, of Baraboo, passed away on Thursday, May 30, 2019 at St.
Clare Meadows Care Center. Bernice
was born on Sept. 12, 1921 in Baraboo, the daughter of Albert and Mabel
(Neuman) Belter. On July 19, 1941 she was united in marriage to Kenneth A.
Biech at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Baraboo. He preceded her in death on
April 22, 1995. Bernice
was a homemaker and worked on the family farm in Greenfield Township for over
53 years. In her spare time she enjoyed reading books until her eyesight
diminished. In
addition to her husband and parents, Bernice was preceded in death by two sons,
K. John and Richard Biech; grandson, Shane Biech; and a brother, Gerald Belter. Survivors
include three grandchildren, Thad Biech, Gwen (Nick) Stipetich, Donia (Mike)
Meyer; five great-grandchildren, Mason Biech, Jordan and Jake Stipetich, Merick
and Mesa Meyer; two daughter-in-laws, Betty Biech and Boni Durand-Biech;
sister-in-law, Audrey Belter; and other family and friends. Funeral
Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Sunday, June 2, 2019 at Baldwin Funeral
Services, 520 East St., Baraboo, with Pastor Ervine Vomhof officiating.
Visitation will be at the funeral home on Sunday from 1 p.m. until time of
service. Interment will take place in Walnut Hill Cemetery. Memorials in memory
of Bernice may be given to St. John’s Lutheran Church, Baraboo.
