West Baraboo - Anna “Annie” Mae Parchem, 83, of West
Baraboo, passed away on Saturday, March 9, 2019 at St. Clare Meadows Care
Center. Annie was born on April 7, 1935 in
Portage, the daughter of Leo and Lillian (Wagner) Gavinski. On Feb. 23, 1963
she married Gordon Parchem. He preceded her in death on July 17, 2013. Annie was well known for her bait
shop which she operated out of her basement home for over 30 years. In her
spare time, she enjoyed tending to her flower garden, feeding the birds and was
a sponsor of a horseshoe team in the Baraboo Horseshoe League. Annie was a
caring and loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and will be truly
missed by all who knew her. Survivors include her two sons,
Russell (Angie) Volz and Dale Parchem; two step-sons, Richard (Karen) Parchem
and Jeff (Mary) Parchem; step-daughter, Penny (Gene) Parchem; 12 grandchildren,
Garrett Volz, Brice, Maggie Mae, Sean, Chris, Aimee, Samantha, Maranda and Cole
Parchem, Jody Marks and Sheena and Amber; many great-grandchildren; three
brothers, Paul (Jean), Albert and Tony (Geri) Gavinski; two sisters, Pat
(Robert) and Martha; in-laws, Gene (Marci) and Robert (Carol) Parchem; and
other family and friends. In addition to her husband and
parents, Annie was preceded in death by two brothers, Don and Joe; four
sisters, Cathy, Rose, Mary and Leona. Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, March
14, 2019 at Baldwin Funeral Services, 520 East St., Baraboo, with Pastor Lisa
Newberry officiating. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 10 a.m. until
time of service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the family.
