Barbara Ellen Tincher

Barbara
Ellen Tincher, 74, of Wisconsin Dells, passed away peacefully surrounded by her
loving family on Sunday, Feb. 25, 2018 at St. Clare Hospital in Baraboo. Barbara
was born on June 21, 1943 in Chicago, Illinois, the daughter of Henry and
Valeria (Wisniewski) Nickel. She graduated from a catholic high school in
Chicago and shortly there-after was united in marriage to Patrick Tincher Sr.
on June 6, 1963. He preceded her in death on July 22, 2007. Barbara
had fond memories of living next to Comiskey Park and attended many White Sox
games as a child. Throughout her years she cherished her memories of the time
she spent with her grandmother, Mary. After
her marriage to Patrick, they moved to Wisconsin Dells in 1977 where they owned
and operated the Parkway Motel. Before retiring, Barbara worked at Wal-Mart and
was very passionate about raising money for the Children’s Miracle Network. She
was a very generous, caring and compassionate person and regularly donated to
several charitable organizations. In
her spare time, Barbara enjoyed scrap booking, reading, puzzles, her weekly
breakfast outings with her friends, and spending time with her family. She will
be truly missed by her family and friends, Survivors
include her children, Patrick (Brenda) Tincher Jr. of Antigo, Kymberly Johnson
of Montello, Keith Tincher of Wichita, Kansas, Gail Adams of Baraboo, William
(Brenda Richardson) Tincher of Madison, Denise (Ken Moninski) Tincher of
Baraboo and Colleen (Westley) Kelsey of Reedsburg; and many grandchildren and
great-grandchildren. In
addition to her parents and husband, Barbara was preceded in death by two
daughters, Jennifer Gorski and Dawn Tincher; two grandchildren, Peighton Kelsey
and Michael Gorski, Jr.; and a brother, Henry Nickel Jr. A
private family service will be held at the Rago-Baldwin Funeral Home in March
with a public Celebration of Life service to be held in June. The
family would like to thank the staff at Meriter Hospital in Madison, St. Clare
Hospital and St. Clare Meadows for making her last few months as comfortable as
possible. Also, a special thank you to her good friend, Donna Byrne for her
love and compassion. The Rago-Baldwin Funeral Home, 520 East St., Baraboo, is
assisting the family with arrangements.
