Joan Josephine Wucherer

Joan Josephine Wucherer, 83, of
Baraboo, passed away on Thursday, Nov. 2, 2017 at St. Clare Meadows Health Care
Center.
Joan was born on June 22, 1934, in
Joliet, Illinois, the daughter of Joseph and Josephine (Senffner) Mutz. Joan was
a graduate of Messmer High School in Milwaukee and attended Marquette University
graduating in 1956 with a degree in Medical Technology. On Nov. 17, 1956, she
was united in marriage to Edward L. Wucherer at Holy Angels Catholic Church in
Milwaukee. He preceded her in death on June 2, 2010.
After their marriage, they moved to
Lake Amy Belle where they resided until 1967 before moving to Berlin where they
lived for over 24 years. While living in Berlin, Joan was active in several
service organizations in the community. In addition, she was a 12 year member
of the Berlin Area School District Board of Education, and participated in AFS
where she and Edward hosted three students.
A job change brought them to Portage
for five years, and then to Baraboo where they currently lived. While residing
in Baraboo, Joan worked as a Medical Technologist at Medical Associates-Baraboo
for over nine years and was a founding member of BASCO in September of 2001.
She enjoyed helping people and dearly loved her family and many friends.
Joan is survived by seven children,

Pruszka of Muskego, Tom (Val) Wucherer of Las Vegas, Nevada, Jean (David)
Bordewyk of Aurora, Colorado, Sharon (Dave) Barczak of Minnetonka, Minnesota,
Julie (John) Puscheck of Naperville, Illinois; 19 grandchildren, Kristin, Kelly
and Karoline Wucherer of Woodinville, Washington, James, Timothy and John
Wucherer of Holmen, Tommy, Danny and David Pruszka of Muskego, Natalie and
Aidan Wucherer of Las Vegas, Nevada, Liam and Kate Donahue, Isabel Bordewyk of
Aurora, Colorado, Claire, Evie and Sam Barczak of Minnetonka, Minnesota, Lauren
and Cam Puscheck of Naperville, Illinois; brother, Jim (Ginny) Mutz of St.
Charles, Missouri; and special friends, Karl (Barb) Dettmering of Pewaukee,
Terry (Beth) Kramer of Baraboo; and many nieces, nephews other relatives and
friends.
In addition to her parents and
husband, Joan was preceded in death by a sister, Judy (Roger) Conklin; and a
daughter-in-law, Yoshiko Otonari.
A Mass of Christian Burial will take
place at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 11, 2017 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 304
East St., Baraboo, with Fr. Jay Poster officiating. Visitation will be at the
church on Saturday from 9 a.m. until time of Mass, with a luncheon immediately
following.
Interment services
will take place at 1:30 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 13, 2017 at Holy Cross Cemetery
Chapel, 7301 W. Nash St., Milwaukee, with Fr. Michael Zeps officiating.
Visitation will be in the chapel from 12:30 p.m. until time of service. In lieu
of flowers, donations in memory of Joan may be given to BASCO or the Wisconsin
Council of the Blind and Visually Impaired. The Rago-Baldwin Funeral Home, 520
East St., Baraboo, is assisting the family with arrangements.
