Edith J. Lee
Edith J. Lee, 95, of Baraboo, passed away on Thursday, Feb. 20, 2014 at St. Clare Hospital in Baraboo. Edith was born on July 29 1918, in Baraboo, the daughter of Ren and Effie (Bartlett) Loomis. On June 1, 1933 she was united in marriage to Kenneth Dalton Lee. He preceded her in death on Oct. 3, 1997. Edith was a homemaker most of her life and took great joy in raising her nine children. She was a very outgoing sociable person and enjoyed visiting with family and friends. Survivors include eight children, Ronald (Mary Anne) Lee of Lake Delton, Robert (Nancy) Lee of Bushnell, Fla., Richard (Ruth) Lee of Rockford, Ill., Jerry (Sharron) Lee of Tom Bean, Texas, Gail Dobratz, Hank (Pat) Lee, Linda Liebhaber, and John (Melinda) Lee, all of Baraboo; 24 grandchildren; 44 great grandchildren; 24 great-great grandchildren; a sister, Ruby Mason of Baraboo; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents and husband, Edith was preceded in death by a daughter, Janice Lee; two grandsons, Patrick Lee and Troy Liebhaber; a great grandson, Ben Lee; two son-in-laws, Richard Dobratz and Frederick Liebhaber; three sisters; and one brother. Funeral services will be held at 12 p.m. noon on Tuesday, Feb. 25, 2014 at the Rago-Baldwin Funeral Home, 520 East St., in Baraboo, with Pastor Derick Bacon and Pastor Bill Haskins co-officiating. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Tuesday from 10 a.m. until time of service. Interment will take place in Walnut Hill Cemetery in Baraboo.
