Le Roy Martin Zellmer, age 62, of Baraboo, passed away at his residence on Monday, Feb. 4, 2013 after battling a long illness. Le Roy was born on May 5, 1950 in Baraboo, the son of Martin and Colleen (Purdy) Zellmer. On July 4, 1969 he was united in marriage to Zerna Fenske at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Baraboo. Le Roy worked as a custodian for the Baraboo School District for over 15 years. He enjoyed riding his ATV, fishing, and traveling across the country with Zerna. Survivors include his wife, Zerna; a daughter, Tina (Chad) Anderson; his parents, Martin and Colleen; a sister, Mary (Steve) Conn; three brothers, Garry, Dennis, and Dale Zellmer, all of Baraboo. Also surviving are other relatives and many friends. He was preceded in death by an infant sister, Marion Kay Zellmer; and his maternal and paternal grandparents. Services are being planned and will take place at a later date. The Rago-Baldwin Funeral Home, 520 East St., in Baraboo, is assisting the family with arrangements.
