Anthony
Andrew Ozelis, 92, of Baraboo, passed away on Wednesday, July 25, 2018 at St.
Clare Meadows Care Center in Baraboo. Anthony
was born on Oct. 3, 1925 in Chicago, Illinois, the son of Peter and Agnes
Ozelis. On Dec. 2, 1950 he was united in marriage to Genevieve Bombliss. He was
a veteran of the United States Navy serving his country during WWII and was
honorably discharged in 1945. Anthony
was employed at the Tootsie Roll Industries in Chicago for many years. He
retired in 1997 and moved with Genevieve to Wisconsin in 1998. Anthony was a
wonderful husband and father. Always the family counselor and peacemaker, his
wisdom and compassion will be sorely missed. He
is survived by his wife of 67 years, Genevieve; son, Steven (Mary) Ozelis;
grandchildren, Ian (Amanda) Ozelis, Rae Ann Pyfferoen, Daina and Peter Ozelis;
great-grandchildren, Samantha Ozelis and Kaley Rathman. He is further survived
by his sister-in-law, Irene Wiese; and brother-in-law, Gilbert (Nancy)
Bombliss. A
Memorial Mass will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 1, 2018 at St. Joseph
Catholic Church, Baraboo, with Fr. Jay Poster officiating. Visitation will be
at the church from 10 a.m. until time of Mass. In lieu of flowers, memorial
donations can be given to the Alzheimer’s Association. The
family would like to thank Fr. Jared Holzhuter and Fr. Jay Poster, the staff of
St. Clare Meadows, Meadow View and St. Clare Hospital for their kindness,
compassion and professionalism in Anthony’s time of need. The Rago-Baldwin Funeral
Home, 520 East St., Baraboo, is assisting the family with arrangements.
