, 56, of Baraboo, passed away on Tuesday, June 27, 2017 following a short illness at St Mary's Hospital in Madison. 
Susan was born on July 7, 1960 at the Great Lakes Naval Base in Fort Sheridan, Illinois,
 
and was
 
the daughter of Burton and Inge (Kellert)
 
Jernander
. With Susan’s
 
father being in the military,
 
the family relocated to army bases in Alaska,
 
Missouri, and Colorado before finally settling in Baraboo in 1972.
Susan was a 1978 graduate of
 
Baraboo Senior
 
High School.
 
She graduated from MATC Reedsburg with a degree in Stenography in
 
1982, and
 
later returned to school graduating
 
from Edgewood
 
College
 
in Madison with a
 
Bachelor’s
 
Degree
 
in Psychology
 
in 1996.
After meeting in
 
junior high
 
school in 1974, she married her best friend Dayl Bochler on June 6, 1984.
 
Since
 
Dayl
 
was in the Navy,
 
the two moved around the country, living on Mare Island in Vallejo California, San Diego California, Glenview Illinois, before returning to Baraboo.
 
The
 
two loved
 
traveling together.
While Susan worked
 
many jobs throughout her lifetime, her most recent was as
 
an auditor for Ho-Chunk Casino in Baraboo.
Susan is survived by her best friend,

. Susan is further survived by a very special lifelong friend; Louann Franke-Jones; aunts and uncles in Germany; along with many other relatives and friends.
 
She is preceded in death by her parents.
A Memorial Service will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, July 11, 2017 at Walnut Hill Bible Church in Baraboo, with Pastor David Hutchens officiating. Visitation will be at the church from 1 p.m. until time of service with fellowship to follow the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the Sauk County Humane Society or to the family for donations in Susan’s honor.
 
The Rago-Baldwin Funeral Home, 520 East St., Baraboo, is assisting the family with arrangements.
