Gloria Jane Wedekind, 89, of Baraboo, passed away on Wednesday, June 1, 2016 at St. Clare Meadows Care Center in Baraboo. Gloria was born on June 29, 1926 in Milwaukee, the daughter of Benjamin and Anne Lieske. Gloria is survived by her two sons, Thomas Hamer of Madison and Halton Hamer of Rochester, Minnesota; four nieces, Dawn Duerst of Boscobel, Gay Miller and Crystal Walker of Dalton, and Lori Stein of San Diego, California; and a nephew, Robbie Lieske of Waupaca. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Wedekind of Baraboo; a sister, Sally Hernkind of Dalton; and a brother, George Lieske of Stevens Point. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, June 14, 2016 at the Rago-Baldwin Funeral Home, 520 East St., Baraboo, with Pastor Blake Overlien officiating. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 10 a.m. until time of service. Immediate family and close personal friends by invitation. The Rago-Baldwin Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
